Sports & Leagues

Whether you are just learning to swing a bat or looking to relive your glory days, the Rocky River Recreation Department is the place for you! We’re thrilled to offer year-round programming for all ages and abilities. Our sports & leagues program offerings include on-site, around the City or even regional travel for some levels and abilities- there’s something for everyone! Registration for all programs can be done in person or on our website!

Preschool Sports

  • Ages 3.5-5 years old

    Pee-Wee Tennis Winter Session registration is now open. All classes will be held in the Civic Center Gym.
    Winter Session 1:
    Wednesdays, January 8 – February 5
    Morning class: 10:00-10:45 AM
    Afternoon class: 1:00-1:45 PM
    Winter Session 2:
    Wednesdays, February 12 – March 12
    Morning class: 10:00-10:45 AM
    Afternoon class: 1:00-1:45 PM
    Fees: $50, $52.50 resident, $55 non-resident

Youth Sports

    Recreational baseball leagues for those currently in Grades 7 & 8 or 9-12

    • Practices begin week of May 5

    • Games begin late May/early June; games on weeknights or Saturdays; Approx. 2

    games per week; Games played vs. other RR teams and nearby communities.

    • Playoffs begin early/mid-July

    7/8th Grade Baseball

    9-12th Grade Baseball

    Registration begins February 17; Deadline is April 13.

    2025 fast pitch "Recreation Travel" softball league is a player-pitch league, which emphasizes learning and participation.   

    Practices begin the week of May 5.

    Games begin the week of May 26.  Regular season consists of 10-12 games. 

    -Playoffs begin early-mid July. 

    Divisions: 

    -Ages 9-10

    -Ages 11-12

    -Ages 13-15

    *Division is determined by player's age as of May 30, 2025.

     

    Registration begins February 17;  Deadline is April 13.
